Nan I thought you'd be here forever, that we'd have more time together.

I forgot the story told, that is everybody gets old.

It's hard for us now your gone, everyone's hurt just goes on.

I remember cups of tea, and all around at 150.

Summer days back from the park, we'd stop by and knock you up.

In the cottage when you went out, enjoying a G and T no doubt.

The weddings and parties in Milton Keynes pleased as punch you'd always seem.

Proud of the family that had come, and very proud of everyone.

The microwave in the van, we delivered it by hand.

Sunday dinners, potato roasts. You could always do egg on toast.

For Grand kids to and fro and out in the garden we'd all go.

Noise and mayhem we'd create, I think those time were just great.

So goodbye to our lovely Nan, you can rest now, yes you can.

  • MY WONDERFUL MUM

You were such a wonderful, kind, loving mum and I will miss you so much. I can't quite believe that I'm never going to see you again. I knew you had to leave us but I didn't want you to go and it's so hard to accept. I'm so glad that when the time came it was so peaceful with all of us around you, just the way I know you wanted it.

This poem made me think of you.

A wife, a mother, a grandma too, this is the legacy we have from you.

You taught us love and how to fight, you gave us strength, you gave us might.

A stronger person would be hard to find, and in your heart you were always kind.

You fought for us all in one way or another, not just as a wife, not just as a mother.

For all of us you gave your best, now the time has come for you to rest.

So go in peace, you've earned your sleep, your love in our hearts we'll eternally keep.

When you meet up with my sister Lynda tell her how much I love and miss her.

I will love you always and remember you forever.

    Kevin

    Your son.

  • TO MY WONDERFUL MOTHER IN LAW

Maisie you were such a wonderful women. Whenever I think of you it will be with love and the utmost respect. Respect for you as a wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, respect for your achievements in life, respect for the way in which you have always dealt with the loss of people that you have loved. Above all, respect for the way you dealt with your illness, brave and dignified to the end.

I know that you will now be at peace and will meet up with Lynda and Jeanette and all your other loved ones. Our loss is their gain.

I will love and remember you always.

    Your daughter in law

  • MY BEAUTIFUL NAN

I thought of you with love today but that is nothing new.

I thought about you yesterday and days before that too.

I think of you in silence and often speak your name.

All I have are memories and your picture in a frame.

Your memory is my keepsake with which I'll never part.

God has you in his keeping, I have you in my heart,

My beautiful, brave nan, I will miss and love you forever.

    Love always

  • My Lovely Big Nan

    Nan,

No words can express, or describe, the immense sadness that I feel at the thought of never seeing your beautiful face again.

You and Grandad mean the absolute world to me and I am devastated that God took you from us. You will always be in ALL our hearts with the memories you gave of all the fun happy times.

With 24 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren. ..wow what a legacy to leave.

Thanks to you and Grandad we have the best support network that anyone could ever wish for during such a sad time, and as your first grandchild I promise to help and support all the others as best I can.

It's only fair that Auntie Lynda now has her turn and we can all take comfort knowing you are safe together.

I love you BOTH with all my heart,

With lots of love, for always and forever,

    Sami

Words can't describe how empty I feel knowing you have passed away. I know you are now with my mum (Lynda your daughter) and both of you are in peace.

I will miss you so much and all I can think about was the mint sauce I used to have with my roasts you use to make me when I visited with my Dad when I was younger.

    Love you so much,

    Carly (gran-daughter) xxx
