Report this message By Adrian Lawes on 23 Feb 2010Like many others, I grew up with the Saturday afternoon sound of his voice. Wherever you're from, he was the only commentator you wanted to hear. And I'll keep hearing that wonderful voice as long as I watch the game.
RIP
Report this message By Ian Mason on 14 Feb 2010I was at a theology college in 1988 and was supposed to be deep into the minor phrophets in the Old Testament ie Habakuk, Hosea etc and I had the radio on - I heard this broad Hawick accent over the radio and it was Scotland V Wales and I think Scotland won by 2 points - I was hooked on Rugby Union Since and have followed Bills commentary since - I support Sale Sharks who play a Stockport and so union is my following. Rest in peace bill and thanks for the memories
