  • Hey up lass

    Hi grandma,

I couldnt write you a message on here a year ago because i couldnt accept that you had gone and left us.I cried more for myself selfish reasons at you leaving me than of what youreally wanted. You were my friend, my counsillor and my grandma.

I thought one year ago that you had gone and that was it. But after only a year you havent gone at all because you are with me all the time in our memories,(remember the carry on films and Tom Jones - that swine - playing on the radio) our laughter (remember laughing until we cried at the photo of Mick Burkin's funny face!), the shocking times (like when you burnt me with your fag) and the sad times when we cried about all sorts of things and even the sad times where you had run out of tears...

I miss you dearly but never will forget you.

I hope wherever you are now you are drinking ya half cups of tea, smoking a menthol, catching up with Lilian, putting the world to rights and having grandad sing Land of hope and glory for you again. I will never forget that moment for as long as live xxxxx

Always in my heart my bestest most special oldest friend i ever will have

    xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

  • Thanks

Thanks to all the family and friends who have visited this site, lit a candle for Mam here, and left messages here also.

I hope the downloaded photos will remind you of her for a long time to come.

Mam always lit candles when anyone she knew passed away or in times of trouble, so I know she will appreciate these gestures of rememberance for her.

Whenever I was on the computer she would peer over my shoulder to see what I was doing (though she didnt understand it) and I know she was fascinated by the power computers have brought to the modern world-so this seems a fitting tribute to our Mam.

Rest In Peace Mam - the best Mam anyone could ever wish for-and know that you will truly never be forgotten.

    Kathleen (Daughter) xxx
